Call for case studies on initiatives that enhance the livelihoods of small-scale food producer youth under a changing climate. The call is aimed at initiatives, NGOs/youth groups/international organizations and governments.
As part of FAO’s "Boosting Koronivia" project supporting the negotiation process under the Koronivia Joint Work on Agriculture, FAO is planning to publish a collection of case studies to showcase proactive solutions taken to support and strengthen the livelihoods of small-scale food producer youth under a changing climate.
These include sustainable practices and measures that create or contribute to the social, economic and environmental stability of youth involved in small-scale food production while facing the impacts of climate change.
According to the SDG 2 definition, a small-scale food producer is a producer with less than 5 ha of operated land and/or 5 TLUs (Tropical Livestock Units) and/or those who make up the 40% of the population who hold the smallest agricultural income in a country.
By contributing to this publication, you will increase the visibility of your project and have the possibility to inform international policymakers and negotiators on the challenges and successful measures to support small-scale producer youth struggling with the impacts of climate change.
The publication will be translated into French and Spanish and published on the FAO website. Submissions are accepted in English only.
