One-Acre Fund (OAF) is looking for 2 Strategy and Operations Specialists to work on short-term and long-term projects across departments help solving problems, and lead important projects forward. This is a full-time career-track role within One Acre Fund Rwanda's Strategic Projects Team (Flex Team).

The role will report to the Strategy Operations Analyst and will have exposure to high-level strategy, working in multiple departments and tasks, and getting into the field.

I. Responsibilities

At any given time, you'll manage one or more strategic projects from scoping phase to a conclusion. Your responsibilities will vary depending on the project and will include:

  • Analysis: Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to give holistic strategic advice
  • Project management: You'll work across departments to improve impact and sustainability by analyzing opportunities, planning, and occasionally implementing organizational change with different deliverables from building an SROI model for a program initiative, to supporting teams in developing new and running a trial of a new initiative.
  • Research: You will also support the program to improve its impact and efficiency at large by leading investigations of problems and opportunities. A few examples would be to understanding the available maize and avocado yield in Rwanda for market access, or assessment of transportation options and costs for harvests from around the country to Kigali.
  • Communicate across teams with diverse audiences, including senior leaders, to scope projects, share findings, and push for strategic solutions

II. Qualifications

For this role specifically, OAF is looking for candidates with demonstrated high project management skills, strategic solutions development, and comfortable with numbers. You will have:

  • Quantitative and qualitative data analysis - Knowledge of Advanced Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets, Google Drive Suite
  • Data analysis programs( R, STATA, or Python) is a plus
  • Having experience in designing basic models and dashboard is a plus
  • Project management
  • Business related Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of experience in data, research and project management
  • Experience managing more than one projects at once
  • Capable to understand complex concepts quickly and learn fast
  • English fluency required, Kinyarwanda beneficial
  • This role is only open to citizens or permanent residents of Rwanda
